Sunglasses and reading glasses: our edit for women and men
Komono, the Belgian label, designs clean-lined frames (Devon Black, Avery Havana, Sienna Claret, Vita Sahara). Izipizi sorts its UV400 sunglasses by shape, each marked with a letter: C square, D round, E rectangular, M round oversize, N trapeze, plus the ROAD and CLIFF sport models. The same house also makes lightweight reading glasses (READING D). iyu design rounds off the selection.
How to choose your glasses
- By face shape: a round frame (D, M) softens an angular face, a square or rectangular frame (C, E) gives structure to a round face.
- By use: Izipizi's sport models stay put when cycling; a Komono frame dresses up a city look.
- For reading: try them on a page of text in store to find your strength.
Expect around thirty euros for a pair of readers up to roughly eighty euros for the dressiest frames. Most models are unisex and go with our caps and hats; an Izipizi pair also makes a lovely small-budget gift. The full range: Komono and Izipizi.
